Data Transfers

Methods of Data Delivery

  1. Globus
  2. AWS S3 (data is uploaded to a customer supplied S3 bucket)
  3. Other (additional $500 fee)

Globus

Globus is a fast and secure data transfer network and is the preferred method for data delivery.

When sequence data is generated, customers will receive an email notification with a Globus link.

A Globus Identity should be provided for each person who should have access to transfer data.

Amazon Web Services (AWS)

Data is written directly to a customer’s S3 bucket and an email is sent when the data are available. Customers provide the S3 bucket, AWS credentials to write to the bucket, and a bucket path if desired.

Other

Other methods of data transfer can be arranged, but these will incur fees. For instance, we can set up an S3 bucket that investigators can use for AWS S3 transfers or wget web downloads, which are not very efficient.
