In addition to providing raw genomic data, GTAC utilizes a number of analytical pipelines to help you derive the most information from your NGS sequence data. Sequence analysis using one of our established informatics pipelines is provided for free with sequencing services. GTAC provides comprehensive bioinformatics analysis using extensively validated workflows for all of its data generation services. Pipelines for sequence alignments, variant calling, ChIP peak detection, gene expression are available. Please inquire regarding custom analyses or creating new analytical pipelines.
GTAC uses several high-throughput bioinformatics clusters including the High Throughput Compute Facility (HTCF) administered by the Center for Genome Sciences and Systems Biology. The HTCF cluster consists of over 2250 processors and supports the Center’s Illumina sequencing platforms and real time sequencing analysis. Long term data storage is handled by our 10 GbE connected storage array. This array is currently over 2 petabytes in size.
The HTCF also includes a high-speed distributed file system that is capable of throughput up 19GB/s. This, coupled with its 40Gb network backbone, delivering 10Gb of bandwidth to cluster nodes, provides exceptionally high-speed transfer of large amounts of data.
